California Notice at Collection of Personal Information

Superior Skilled Trades, LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects and uses personal information about job applicants, employees, and individuals who submit personal information for staffing, employment, and business purposes (“you” or “your”). This Notice is provided in accordance with the California Consumer Privacy Act (“CCPA”), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (“CPRA”), and applies to individuals who apply for jobs with us, work for us, or are placed on assignment through us.

- Categories of Personal Information We Collect
We may collect the following categories of personal information:
- Identifiers (e.g., name, address, phone, email, date of birth, account login if you create a profile; for payroll, limited bank or tax details)
- Protected Class Information (e.g., age, gender, race/ethnicity, disability, veteran status), including certain information that may qualify as Sensitive Personal Information under California law (such as racial or ethnic origin), collected only where required or permitted by law
- Commercial / Transactional Information (e.g., records of services requested or assignments accepted)
- Education Records (e.g., schools attended, degrees, training, certifications)
- Internet / Device Activity (e.g., IP address, browsing interactions with our website or applicant portal)
- Geolocation Data (e.g., location checks if required for timekeeping or site access)
- Audio/Visual/Electronic Media (e.g., voicemail, phone call recordings where permitted, video interviews if you choose to participate, office or job site security video)
- Biometric Data (e.g., fingerprint scans for clock-in/out; separate written consent will be provided if this applies) – only if required by a client or timekeeping system
- Professional & Employment Information (e.g., resume data, work history, job preferences, skills assessments)
- Sensitive Personal Information such as:
- Government-issued identifiers (e.g., SSN, driver’s license, passport)
- Login credentials where needed for secure system access
- Racial/ethnic origin (for lawful EEO reporting)
- Health or medical information related to accommodations, leaves, safety, or workers’ compensation
- Compensation & Benefits Data (e.g., wage rate, payroll details, benefits elections, dependent information if you enroll in benefits)
- Job or Position Information (e.g., shifts, assignment details, placement history)
- Health & Safety Information (e.g., workplace injury reports)
- Inferences and Profile Information (e.g., suitability assessments, placement match indicators)
We do not collect personal information about individuals under 16.
- Purposes for Collecting and Using Personal Information
We collect and use personal information for employment, business, human resources, and operational purposes, including to:
- Evaluate qualifications and match candidates to job opportunities
- Process job applications and communicate about job opportunities
- Submit candidates to client companies for hiring consideration
- Verify work eligibility, credentials, and background (where permitted by law)
- Onboard and manage workers and assignments
- Provide payroll administration, benefits enrollment, and tax reporting
- Support timekeeping and scheduling, including client-required check-in systems
- Manage workplace safety, security, and access to facilities and systems
- Address leaves of absence, disability accommodation, claims, and compliance obligations
- Conduct audits, investigations, and ensure policy and legal compliance
- Improve recruiting, placement matching, training, and workforce analytics
- Communicate updates related to employment, assignments, or required notices
We use Sensitive Personal Information only for lawful employment-related purposes and do not use or disclose it for additional purposes that require a right to limit its use under California law.
- Disclosure of Personal Information
We may disclose personal information to:
- Clients where you are being considered or placed for work
- Service providers supporting HR, payroll, benefits, onboarding, IT, or background screening
- Government agencies as required by law
- Professional advisors (e.g., legal, insurance, audit)
We do not sell personal information. If we use online tracking tools that qualify as “sharing” personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, you may opt out at any time using the “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link in the footer of our website or by submitting a request as described below.
- Retention of Personal Information
We retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes described above, including for the duration of any employment or assignment, and thereafter as required to comply with legal, tax, payroll, safety, anti-discrimination, and recordkeeping obligations.
- Your California Privacy Rights
California residents have rights under CCPA/CPRA, subject to certain exceptions and limitations. These rights include:
- The right to know the categories and specific pieces of personal information we collect, use, disclose, and share;
- The right to request deletion of personal information we have collected from you;
- The right to request correction of inaccurate personal information;
- The right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information;
- The right to limit the use and disclosure of Sensitive Personal Information, where applicable; and
- The right not to be retaliated against for exercising your privacy rights.
